Budapest, July 9, 2025 – Budapest Airport, a member of the VINCI Airports network, has announced that German leisure and scheduled carrier Condor will begin operations from the Hungarian capital on May 1, 2026. The airline will introduce a new Budapest–Frankfurt service, operating three times daily with Airbus A320 aircraft.

Each flight will offer a capacity of 180 seats, adding significant flexibility and frequency on the high-demand route between Budapest and Germany’s financial center. This new service will complement Lufthansa’s existing operations and raise total weekly seat capacity between the two cities to over 10,000 departing seats.

The launch strengthens Budapest Airport’s already extensive German network, with Condor becoming the latest airline to serve Germany—Budapest’s third-largest direct seat market. The airport currently offers direct connections to 11 German destinations.

Markus Klaushofer, Chief Commercial Officer at Budapest Airport, welcomed the announcement:
“We are delighted to welcome Condor to our growing portfolio of airline partners. This new Frankfurt service expands choice for our passengers and supports both business and tourism links between Hungary and Germany. Condor’s entry highlights confidence in Budapest’s connectivity and its growing role as a regional hub.”
