Whitney Bates & Alyssa Webster push more products on social media.
On Instagram this week, both Whitney Bates and Alyssa Bates Webster promoted a baby lounger. The company was having a huge sale, so they paid Whitney and Alyssa, among other influencers to inform their fans about it. You can see a few snaps they posted to their Instagram Stories below. Whitney’s son Jadon even showed viewers how to use the lounger.
Bringing Up Bates fans worry about the kids’ safety.
After seeing their Instagram posts, Bringing Up Bates fans took to Reddit and shared why they are concerned. One fan pointed out that these types of loungers are not meant for unsupervised sleep. The Reddit user claimed that many people use them incorrectly, and according to the Food & Drug Administration, they can increase the risk of SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome). Fans feel that the Bates girls should have clearly mentioned this risk.
The fan went on and said, “If most people used them correctly (for babies to lounge in when there’s supervision) I wouldn’t care, but a lot of influencers, including fundies, actually use them for the babies to sleep in and put them in cribs.”
Someone else chimed in, “Personally I dont think things like this should be on the market at all since theres a large chance parents would use them incorrectly.”
Other fans think that parents should use “common sense” when buying these products for their babies.
So, do you think that the Bringing Up Bates stars should be more cautious when promoting products like these? Or do you think it’s up to the consumer to do their research? Share your thoughts in the comments section below, and come back to TV Shows Ace for more news about the Bates family.
