Joe Freshgoods works in collaboration with New Balance to launch its own iteration of the 993 sneaker model. It comes in light and bright tonal options including Powder Pink, Sage, and Arctic Blue to make up the range. The Chicago designer highlights his taste in colorful palettes this time around with pastel choices.
Similar to his previous work of the Inside Voices and Outside Clothes projects, the new collaboration continues to build upon the same narrative that highlights the Black experience. This time, it is designed to celebrate Black creativity across different forms. When showcased online, the creative taps the help of Black artists including Scottie Beam, Storm Reid, Jaden Smith, and Monica to model the sneakers.
