📍 San Francisco, California — Artificial intelligence firm Anthropic has closed a $13 billion Series F funding round, bringing its post-money valuation to $183 billion. The raise marks the largest single investment in deep tech and AI this year and positions Anthropic among the fastest-growing technology companies in history.

Led by Iconiq Capital and co-led by Fidelity Management & Research Company and Lightspeed Venture Partners, the round drew participation from a wide array of institutional investors, including BlackRock, GIC, and the Qatar Investment Authority. The company has now raised nearly $3 billion in total, accounting for roughly one-third of global private fusion investment in AI.

Anthropic stated the funds will be used to expand enterprise adoption, deepen safety research, and support international growth. The company’s run-rate revenue surged from $1 billion at the start of 2025 to over $5 billion by August, driven by strong demand for its Claude AI platform and developer tools.

Founded by former OpenAI executives Dario and Daniela Amodei, Anthropic has positioned itself as a leader in responsible AI development. Its client base now includes over 300,000 businesses, with large enterprise accounts growing nearly sevenfold in the past year.
