BEIJING — The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and Keppel Ltd. have announced a strategic partnership to mobilize up to USD 1.5 billion for sustainable infrastructure projects across the Asia-Pacific region by 2030. The agreement was signed during AIIB’s 10th Annual Meeting in Beijing and will be in effect through December 2030.
The collaboration aims to finance projects in renewable energy, power transmission, digital infrastructure, transport, and urban services, with a focus on green, technology-enabled, and regionally connected solutions.
“This agreement reflects AIIB’s continued commitment to partnering with leading institutions to finance infrastructure that is green, technology-enabled, and regionally connected,” said Rajat Misra, Acting Chief Investment Officer, AIIB.
The initiative will support projects developed through Keppel’s private funds, combining AIIB’s long-term capital with Keppel’s operational and asset management expertise to address the region’s persistent infrastructure deficit.
“By combining AIIB’s financial strength with Keppel’s proven track record, this partnership positions us to accelerate Asia-Pacific’s transition towards a more sustainable future,” said Christina Tan, CEO of Fund Management and CIO at Keppel.
Aligned with AIIB’s 2021–2030 Corporate Strategy, the partnership emphasizes green infrastructure, private capital mobilization, and knowledge-sharing to scale climate-resilient, inclusive, and sustainable infrastructure across the region.
