Sysdig, an open source cloud security platform based in San Francisco, announced the addition of ‘Sysdig Sage’ to is platform. Sysdig Sage is a large language model (LLM) AI assistant that leverages machine learning and multi-step reasoning to detect and respond to cloud security incidents more efficiently.
The Sysdig Sage AI technology is a wrapper that calls on an LLM API, rather than being a complete LLM itself. This means the platform is powered by multiple AI tools, combined with those trained on Sysdig’s data. Additionally, the company confirmed that Sage is not only a wrapper, but is more intimately connected to the Sysdig platform, meaning it is more involved and less prone to errors.
When speaking on the new Sage AI service, Sysdig’s CTO Loris Degioanni stated “Sage AI is our attempt to put together our domain and open source expertise in the field of cloud security, with an advanced architecture that integrates security with an LLM.”
