Aeroporti di Roma (ADR), a leading airport operator and Corporate Partner of the FTE Digital, Innovation & Startup Hub, has hosted the ‘3rd Batch Takeoff’ event of the ‘Runway to the Future’ acceleration program.
Eleven innovative startups showcased their cutting-edge solutions, ranging from LiDAR sensors to Artificial Intelligence and automation.
Under the mentorship of ADR’s Innovation Cabin Crew, these startups will spend six months testing their technologies to transform the airport experience. The Innovation Cabin Crew, a team of problem-solvers from various business units, will provide the startups with the support and resources needed to make a real and positive impact on ADR’s operations. By focusing on efficiency, sustainability, and passenger satisfaction, ADR aims to shape the future of aviation.
The ‘3rd Batch Takeoff’ event also included a stimulating roundtable with the Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) funds ADR Ventures and Angelini Ventures, and the Venture Capital (VC) funds 2100 Ventures, JOIN CAPITAL, and 1521 Ventures. They shared perspectives on emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in the current investment environment.
With this initiative, ADR reaffirms its commitment to innovation and collaboration with the startup ecosystem.
