In recent photos and videos that Alaskan Bush People star Bear Brown has shared, he is clearly not in the mountains of Washington. Many fans have been curious about these photos and videos, wondering where Bear is right now. He took to his social media account to explain to fans what is going on right now in his life.
Here is what Bear had to say to fans and why he isn’t in Washington on the mountain this winter.
Bear Brown is in Texas right now
Bear Brown has been posting some photos and videos lately on his social media account. In these, he is walking around what looks to be a relatively nice weather location. As anyone who keeps track knows, Washington is snowy and rainy over the last month, and it hasn’t slowed down much. This has some fans wondering where Bear is right now.
Of course, anyone who has been following Bear and his wife Raiven’s social media knows, they are in Texas right now. Of course, there are still fans who think he still lives in Alaska, so convincing them that he isn’t in Washington might be a little difficult for that matter. However, the reason he is in Texas makes a lot of sense.
In the video, Bear explained that he has gone to Texas with Raiven to stay near her family during the months leading up to the birth of their second child. Bear said that there are no hospitals close to where they live on the mountain in Washington, so they went to Texas to be closer to a hospital since Raiven is in a high-risk pregnancy.

Raiven had to deliver the couple’s first child River early when the pregnancy became high-risk. She then suffered a miscarriage in her second pregnancy. This pregnancy is also high-risk, and she has had to go to the emergency room more than once. While there are hospitals in Washington, the closest one to their mountain home was a three-hour drive.
This distance was one of the main reasons that Billy Brown died before getting to a hospital for help. As shown in the most recent season of Alaskan Bush People, Birdie Brown went to a hospital to have tumors removed. However, that was, as Bear said, a long drive and she stayed there until she was cleared to go home.
As for Raiven, she is by her family during this pregnancy, and Bear Brown is there with her to provide support and to be there when his second son is born.
Did Bear Brown and Raiven make the right choice in leaving Washington for Texas for her birth? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
