Over the weekend, Connor McDavid became just the sixth player in NHL history to score 150 points in a season.
In Saturday’s contest against the San Jose Sharks, the 26-year-old megastar tallied two goals and one assist, giving the Edmonton Oilers captain 151 points, becoming the first player to reach that mark in nearly three decades. McDavid (and teammate Leon Draisaitl, who has 124 points himself) has been an unstoppable force all season, producing at a rate never before seen in the modern era. These aren’t just end-of-season empty calorie stats, either. The Oilers are the hottest team in the league outside of Boston and are a real threat to win the Stanley Cup for the first time in McDavid’s career. If he were able to lead the Oilers to the promised land, then it might be time to start bringing up McDavid’s name when discussing the shortlist of all-time NHL greats.
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. In honor of McDavid’s latest achievement, we want to see how many of the NHL players who scored the most points in one season you can name in six minutes.
Good luck!
