Just when you through Dog Haus has already offered every possible type of comfort food available, the handcrafted hotdog and sandwich chain has just unveiled its most unique creation yet: the Pepperoni Pizza Sausage.
While it might sound like an April Fool’s joke, Dog Haus assures fans that the Pepperoni Pizza Sausage is indeed real. The new dish consists of a savory, traditional pork and fennel Italian sausage studded with pepperoni, mozzarella, tomato, and oregano to deliver that classic pizza taste. The whole thing is then served on one of Dog Haus’ signature grilled King’s Hawaiian rolls, or served the “Corn Dog Way” dipped in Dog Haus’ root beer batter and then fried until golden brown. As Dog Haus Würstmacher Adam Gertler explains, “Since pizza is one of America’s favorite foods, thisone is sure to be a huge hit. I can’t wait to share this sausage with Dog Haus’ fans in April, no fooling!”
