The Probation Aftercare Officers Staff Association says despite protest action today, its members are yet to hear from the government about the negotiations under the public sector compensation scheme.
The officers staged a sit-in to press the government on the wage talks.
Kerry-Ann Davis, President of the Association, says the last meeting with the Ministry of Finance was on October 11, 2022. Follow-up letters were sent on January 9 and February 3 but there has been no word from the ministry.
Miss Davis said the workers are prepared to keep up their protest action until the ministry responds.
She noted that the group is ready to resume discussions and arrive at a wage agreement but said this cannot be done unless they are invited to the table by the ministry.
