Well, it’s finally here. The moment golf fans have been waiting for: Tiger Woods is finally going to compete in a PGA Tour event this weekend, hitting the links in Southern California when the Genesis Invitational tees off on Thursday.
If you’re looking to put some money down on the 82-time PGA winner, you should see the incredibly long odds he is currently listed at first.
Woods is listed as a 150-1 long shot at BetMGM and 110-1 at DraftKings. While the 47-year-old veteran is very familiar with the Riviera golf course — making his debut there in 1992 and finishing as the runner-up at the Genesis in 1998 and 1999 — he also hasn’t competed in a regular PGA event since 2020 and last competed at all at the Open Championship last summer.
Of course, Woods should never be counted out and dismissed to pull off some magic. He did win the Masters in 2019 to surprise everyone.
If nothing else, though, seeing Woods compete again is something golf fans will not want to miss this weekend.
As for the shortest odds at Riviera this weekend, Jon Rahm is currently listed as the +650 favorite at BetMGM, followed by Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler listed at +1000. Justin Thomas and Xander Schauffele are listed at +1600, and Max Homa and Tony Finau are listed at +1800.
