Minisforum, the company most known for its compact, high-performance pre-built computers, officially debuted the ‘HX99G,’ one of its most powerful mini PCs to date. One major change to the HX99G when compared to its predecessors, such as the HX90 or the UM690, is the addition of a discrete graphics card, as these previous mini PCs relied on integrated graphics chips.
The HX99G is powered by the Ryzen 9 6900HX, which boasts 8 cores and 16 threads clocked up to 4.9 Ghz. Users still have access to the iGPU on this card, the Radeon 680M, but Minisforum also included a mobile GPU from AMD titled the RX 6600M, which is a mid-range GPU that runs at a base clock of 2060 Mhz and a boost clock of 2416 Mhz.
In terms of I/O, the HX99G includes two USB-4 ports, two HDMI ports, one USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C port, four USB 3.2 Type-A ports, as well as ethernet, audio, and headphone jacks.
