This wearable ultrasound patch has been envisioned as a solution for healthcare providers to help them keep an eye on patients on a continuous basis. The patch would feature a compact, noninvasive design that utilizes ultrasound technology to deliver real-time images of the heart that could be used to track for issues and more. The patch could work effectively for aftercare to help keep an eye on critical care patients or those with heart disease, while also being great for athletes to help them monitor their heart function.
The wearable ultrasound patch is a concept at present, but shows merit as a great option for use in the future of healthcare. The designers claim that the device could also be generalized for use on other parts of the body to take a look at veins, the spine or the liver.
