USC QB Caleb Williams is your 2022 Heisman Trophy winner.
Williams received 544 first-place votes, enough for him to beat out the other three finalists: TCU QB Max Duggan, Ohio State QB C.J. Stroud and Georgia QB Stetson Bennett. Williams won despite being the only player there whose team was not in the CFP, something he addressed during his victory speech. “I may be standing up here today, but y’all get to go to the College Football Playoff. Guess you can’t win them all.” He is the eighth Trojan to win the award, and some of the previous winners got together for a once-in-a-lifetime photo. Williams is also just a sophomore and is not yet eligible for the NFL Draft, meaning that he will get a chance to join Archie Griffin as the only two-time Heisman winners. Williams and USC will take on Tulane in the Cotton Bowl on January 2.
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. With Williams taking home the hardware on Saturday night, there have now been 23 Heisman winners since 2000. So with that in mind, how many Heisman winners from the 21st century can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
