A wide receiver has never won the NFL MVP. Justin Jefferson would like to be the first. Jefferson is having a career year in 2022 with 1,756 receiving yards on 123 catches, both of which lead the NFL. He’s also caught eight touchdowns on the season, but most importantly, the Vikings are 12-3 and still have an outside shot of becoming the No. 1 seed in the NFC. Kirk Cousins has played well throughout most of the season, but it would be just about impossible to make an argument that anyone besides Jefferson is Minnesota’s best player. His case is certainly strong, but don’t take it from us; just ask the man himself. “Having the type of season I’m having, I feel like that’s a conversation that needs to be had for me to be MVP.” The last non-QB to win the MVP? Another Viking by the name of Adrian Peterson. Will Jefferson join him on that list? Stay tuned.
Which brings us to today’s quiz of the day. Much has already been made about Jefferson approaching Calvin Johnson’s record for most receiving yards in a season, but he also has an outside chance to break the single-season receptions record. So with that in mind, how many of the NFL players with the most receptions in a season can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
