Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro stated earlier today that his administration has not engaged in any communication with the United States government, despite escalating diplomatic tensions between the two nations in recent weeks.

“There has been no contact, no dialogue,” Maduro said during a televised address, dismissing speculation of backchannel negotiations. His remarks come amid renewed friction over sanctions, political unrest, and regional security concerns.

The U.S. has maintained a firm stance on Venezuela’s human rights record and electoral integrity, while Caracas continues to accuse Washington of interference in its domestic affairs. The absence of diplomatic engagement underscores the deepening rift between the two countries, with no clear path to reconciliation currently in sight.
