NATO has selected Oracle to host and protect mission-critical workloads from its Communications and Information Agency (NCIA), marking a strategic shift to U.S.-based cloud infrastructure. The decision reflects the alliance’s commitment to enhancing cybersecurity, operational resilience, and data sovereignty across its digital operations.

The NCIA, responsible for delivering secure communications and IT support to NATO missions, will migrate key systems to Oracle’s cloud platform. The move is aimed at improving scalability, performance, and compliance with evolving security standards.

Oracle’s cloud services will support NATO’s efforts to modernize its digital architecture while maintaining strict controls over sensitive data. The partnership underscores growing reliance on commercial cloud providers to support defense and intelligence operations in a rapidly changing threat landscape.
