San Francisco, 22 August 2025 — Meta Platforms has signed a six-year cloud computing agreement with Google Cloud valued at over $10 billion, according to sources familiar with the matter. The deal marks one of Google Cloud’s largest contracts to date and will support Meta’s rapidly expanding artificial intelligence infrastructure.
Under the agreement, Meta will utilize Google’s servers, storage, networking, and data center services to scale its AI capabilities. The partnership comes amid Meta’s broader strategy to invest heavily in compute resources, with projected capital expenditures for 2025 reaching up to $72 billion.
The move reflects Meta’s multicloud approach, complementing existing partnerships with Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. It also signals growing collaboration between major tech rivals as demand for AI infrastructure accelerates.
