Circumvent, an Australian cloud security startup, has raised $6 million in seed funding from Paladin Capital Group to develop a network of autonomous agents for prioritization and remediation in cloud security.
AI-Driven Cloud Security Innovation
With offices in Sydney and San Francisco, Circumvent aims to transform cloud and application security management by autonomously correlating and triaging alerts, reducing security noise for enterprises.
The company’s platform leverages AI and machine learning to:
- Ingest, correlate, and enrich alerts from cloud, open-source, and third-party security tools.
- Align security data with business context in real-time to optimize remediation.
- Integrate remediation into DevSecOps workflows through a Multi-Agent AI System that learns from customer environments.
Expanding Global Operations
Circumvent is currently working with enterprises in the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. The company plans to:
- Invest in product development and customer engagement.
- Maintain R&D operations in Australia.
- Establish a commercial headquarters in San Francisco for U.S. market expansion.
CEO’s Vision for Cloud Security
Circumvent co-founder and CEO Michael Watts emphasized the company’s mission:
“Security and cloud teams are under immense pressure to move fast without increasing risk. We’re not just generating more alerts—we’re building the intelligence layer that helps teams understand what to fix, why it’s important, and how to take immediate action to resolve the root cause.”
