MIAMI – Henry Abdo, 48, a Lebanese national, was sentenced on May 8, 2025, to 168 months (14 years) in federal prison for orchestrating a multi-million-dollar Ponzi scheme that defrauded more than 200 investors. U.S. District Court Judge William P. Dimitrouleas also ordered Abdo to pay a $300,000 fine and $375,479 in restitution to victims.
According to court records, Abdo operated a fraudulent investment firm, Titanium Capital LLC, which he claimed offered “zero-risk” investments through a proprietary foreign exchange trading platform. In reality, Titanium Capital had no legitimate trading operations. Instead, Abdo used investor funds to pay returns to earlier investors and to fund his own lavish lifestyle.
From July 2014 onward, Abdo solicited more than $6 million by misrepresenting Titanium Capital as a SEC-registered firm that was part of a multibillion-dollar international conglomerate. He claimed the company had developed proprietary software capable of generating consistent profits from foreign currency transaction fees. None of these representations were true.
Abdo promoted his scheme through in-person meetings, emails, phone calls, and video conferences, directing potential investors to slick marketing materials and websites that falsely portrayed Titanium Capital as a legitimate and philanthropic enterprise. He also attempted to bolster his credibility by falsely claiming affiliations with charitable and educational organizations, and alleging that profits from the company were used to support the blind and disabled.
Court documents revealed that investor funds were instead used to sustain the fraud, with Abdo diverting large amounts for personal expenditures, including international travel and luxury items.
The scheme ultimately collapsed, leaving many victims financially devastated. Some lost their life savings or retirement accounts, with several reporting that they could no longer afford basic necessities such as food and medication.
The case was investigated by the FBI Miami Field Office’s Palm Beach Resident Agency. The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Hayden P. O’Byrne for the Southern District of Florida and Acting Special Agent in Charge Brett Skiles of the FBI Miami Field Office.
