50 Cent is chiming in on Megan Thee Stallion’s shooting case again, but this time it’s not a diss.
This revelation comes after a jury “convicted rapper Tory Lanez on all counts in the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion,” as reported by BuzzFeed News.
Now, after two years of Megan expressing her truth to the public through music, sharing medical reports, police reports, and an entire legal battle — 50 Cent realizes that she was telling the truth.
“I said some things, and it was because…on social media, I posted things that — when she was with Gayle [King] — she said, ‘Were you intimate with Tory Lanez?’ And she said, ‘What?’ and it was like, ‘No.’ And I was like, ‘Ah, she lying.'”
Instead of recognizing the violent crime that occurred, 50 Cent and an unfortunate number of men focused on her veiled response regarding her intimacy with Tory. “At that point, I knew she was lying. It wouldn’t be no reason for them to be around each other. From that, it felt like she was lying, to me,” he said.
“The only reason why I feel like I should, like, at some point you should apologize — I should apologize to her — because um, when I heard the phone conversation that made me feel like oh shit, now I know what happened.”
In other words, it wasn’t Megan’s statements or Tory’s guilty verdict that changed his mind, it was after he distinctly heard Tory’s comments in the released phone conversation.
Here’s what folks on Twitter had to say about 50’s new “apology”:
Let’s get to work! 50 Cent and many others owe Megan the deepest apology.
