On 1 August 2025 Minister of State for European Affairs and Defence, Thomas Byrne TD, welcomed a bipartisan delegation from the United States Congress to Iveagh House on Thursday, 1 August 2025.
The delegation was led by Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Jim Jordan, and included Ranking Member Jamie Raskin, as well as Representatives Scott Fitzgerald, Kevin Kiley, and Steve Cohen.

“I welcome and value the perspectives of our American friends from both sides of the aisle. The Government supports EU digital regulation which is designed to protect consumers and the public. I welcome the opportunity to exchange views on this matter with the visiting delegation.”
