A priest in County Down remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital following a violent assault inside his church on Sunday.
The incident, described by authorities as a “brutal attack,” occurred during daylight hours and has prompted widespread concern within the local community and religious circles.
Emergency services responded promptly, and the priest was transported to hospital where he continues to receive treatment.
Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant information to come forward.
